To enable the chat features, go into General settings (step one) and within the menu, scroll down to find networking interactions.

Here you're able to either enable or disable each of the following:

Homepage chat: When enabled, the homepage chat will appear within the interactive bar, on the landing page of your event. It's a perfect opportunity to spark conversation & engagement amongst attendees.

Personal chat: Enables 1-1 (private) chats between attendees. This is a great way to encourage attendees to network and find out more about each other on a personal level!

Event Chat: Once enabled, this feature allows event organizers to 'broadcast to all'. An example of how the event chat can be used would be by broadcasting a message to inform everyone that a session is due to start in 5 minutes.

Sponsor sidebar chat: Enable this to allow attendees to leave comments & engage with your supporting brands.

Resource center sidebar chat: Allows attendees to leave comments and engage with other attendees within this area of your event.

Community Gallery sidebar chat: Encourage your community to come together by commenting on & engaging with each other within this dedicated area!

Targeting interactive bar functions to select audiences

You are able to target the interactive bar chat and event wide chats in following areas:

General Settings > Networking > Chat

  1. Homepage chats

  2. Event Chats

  3. Personal Chats (This should pull through and remove the chat icon in attendees page and sponsor representative list)

  4. Group Chats

Session > Interactive tab

  1. Q&A

  2. Comments

There is an option in session settings to default targeting to all session interactive bars.
