Use speaker profiles to give your attendees some basic introductions to your event presenters. Attendees can browse through the profiles in the Speakers tab.
Note: speaker profiles cannot be updated in the attendee-facing site, they can only be updated from the Console by an event administrator.
If your speaker has already registered for your event, you can quickly and easily use their attendee profile to create their speaker profile. You can click on the Attendees tab in the left-hand sidebar, go to their profile, and click Make a Speaker in the row of buttons across the top of the page; you can also click on Speakers in the left-hand sidebar, click Create, and then click Select to browse through the list of registered attendees.
When a speaker profile is created from a linked attendee account, the attendee's name, profile photo, job title, and company will be pulled from the attendee profile.
You can also choose to create an independent speaker profile by clicking Speakers in the left-hand sidebar, clicking Create, and then filling out the same profile information in the modal.
The bio supports markdown format and can be used to introduce your speaker, their background, the topic(s) of their presentation, or any other information that you'd like to share with attendees.
Be sure to change the Status input to Active - inactive profiles will be hidden.
If you'd like the speaker profile to show in the speaker page and/or the sponsor pages, change the inputs of both of these fields to Yes. An event admin or sponsor admin can go to their sponsor zone and click the Speakers tab across the bottom of the page to add the speaker profile to their sponsor zone.
You may want to add your speaker's associated sessions to their speaker profile as well. To do this, change the Show sessions in speaker page input to Yes. After doing this, when you create a new session, go to its details page and click on the Speakers tab, then add your speaker profile to the session details. A thumbnail with the speaker's name and photo will appear on the session page, and the session thumbnail will appear on the speaker profile.
Social media buttons can be added to the profile for Twitter and LinkedIn. Simply paste the link to the speaker's social media account in the field. Attendees viewing the profile can click on the social media icon to view the speaker's social media.
When you've input the relevant information into the modal, click Save.
