Organizers can control this by attendee type permissions found under the 'meetings' tab of the event Console sidebar!
If networking is enabled at your event, all registered attendees will be able to arrange a meeting with each other.
Tip: You can enable or disable networking/meetings by navigating to the Design tab > General Settings > Features & Networking section in your Console sidebar. If disabled, attendees won’t be able to schedule meetings with one another.
The console allows you to manage meeting permissions between attendee types, giving you control over who can meet with whom.
To configure these settings, follow these steps:
- Go to the Networking tab > Meetings section in the event Console sidebar.
- Click on Settings.
- Select the Who can meet tab.
- You'll see a list of all attendee types. Simply tick the appropriate boxes to define which groups can schedule meetings with each other.
If an attendee is unable to meet with others, they will still see their name in the platform attendee list. However, the meeting icons (calendar logo) underneath will not be present.
Note: You will not be able to restrict networking if you have no attendee types at your event. You can create attendee types under the People tab > Attendees in your Console sidebar.
