How to verify your email domain or DKIM

Steps on how to verify the email domain of your preferred sender email for confirmation emails and Canapii's campaign tool

You can elect to verify a custom email address to send out confirmation emails and campaign blasts from Canapii's campaign tool. You will need to complete all three verification steps in order to fully authenticate a custom email sender address.

Warning: Failure to complete any one of the three steps may result in your emails being sent to your recipient's spam or junk folders by default.

Adding custom sender in campaign tool

To add a custom sender address within the Campaign tool, first navigate and select the campaigns tab in the left hand side bar of your event Console. Then select the senders > create > enter the sender name and email address and select save.

Verify OTP code            

After adding the desired sender email under senders, you will need to fetch the 6 digit OTP code that is sent to the email address you added. Once this code is verified you will need to verify SES.

Once you have verified OTP, you will receive an email from info@canapii.com with an SES link. Simply select the link included in that email to complete verification of SES and gain your DKIM entries that you will need to finish verification of this sender email address.

Verify DKIM

Once you select the SES link you will be redirected to your master Console. Navigate back to the campaign tool, and select the senders button > select the email address that you have just added as a sender. You may notice that the "DKIM Verified" enter is listed as false.  This means you still need to configure DKIM tokens within your DNS provider to fully authenticate this email.

Adding custom sender for confirmation emails

To add a custom sender address for confirmation emails that are sent to your attendees upon completion of registration, first navigate and select the registration tab in the left hand side bar of your event Console. Then select the confirmation email tab > scroll down below the confirmation email preview and select update > enter the sender name and sender email address and select submit.

Verify OTP code            

After adding the desired sender email under senders, you will need to fetch and enter the 6 digit OTP code that is sent to the email address you added. Once this code is verified you will need to verify SES.

Once you have verified OTP, you will receive an email from info@canapii.com with an SES link. Simply select the link included in that email to complete verification of SES and gain your DKIM entries that you will need to finish verification of this sender email address.

Verify DKIM

Once you select the SES link you will be redirected to your master Console. Navigate back to the confirmation email page. You may notice that next to the sender address there is a warning icon. Select this to view the DKIM records that you will need to configure within your DNS provider to fully authenticate this email. Once completed  the icon next to the sender should change from warning to verified.
