Proxy registration means that an attendee can register on behalf of somebody else (similar to group registration). This will allow registrants to fill out all of the registration attributes without needing to verify the email address. Once proxy is done inputting the details, the attendee that they're registering will receive an email with a link asking them to confirm the registration and set their Canapii account password.

An example use case is if you have an Executive ticket where many of the attendees will be registered by an assistant.

Open the Registration tab in your event Console and either update or click to create a ticket. In the pop-up modal that appears, check off the box marked "Enable proxy registration" and save. Now you're all set!

To see how the proxy registration ticket looks to attendees, open the ticket URL at the top of the page.

You will notice that the registration flow is the same, except that the attendee does not need to verify the email address; instead, once they're finished with the registration, the button to register has been replaced with "Confirm and send invitation." This will send an email to the registrant with a link to verify their email address. The linked page also asks the verified attendee to choose their account password.

When the proxy registration has been completed, the attendee's profile in the Console will have a "Registration type" section, which will indicate that they were registered by proxy.
