What are attendee types?

Attendee types are how you can segment your audience to give them different experiences and permissions within your event platform.

A simple example of this may be that you only want attendee types 'A' and 'B' to be able to see a certain session. Or perhaps you only want attendee types 'B' and 'C' to be able to interact with one another while users with attendee type 'A' can only interact with each other.

Note: The registration tab is where you create attendee types which can then be tied to different tickets within the ticket tab. This means that if a user registered with ticket 'A' they will automatically be assigned as attendee type 'A'. OR you can allow users to choose their own attendee type during registration by enabling attendee type within the attributes tab.

You can also see a list of current attendee types within the attendees tab under step 1 of your event Console side bar

Can I edit a user's attendee type if they've already registered?

If you need to edit a user's attendee or ticket type, you can do so by navigating to the attendee's profile within the attendees tab under step 1 of your event Console.

Simply select your attendee and click the update button, make your change from the drop downs and select save.
