How to Enable Event Features & Networking

You'll find that the sidebar menu within the console is illuminated with enabled features - Find out how to manage this!

Canapii offers a robust selection of pages and functionalities that you can use to curate your attendee's experience. The left-hand sidebar within the console is where you'll follow the steps to set up & create your event. You'll find that some features will be illuminated in white while others will be grayed out.

To manage this, simply go into General Settings and select Features & Networking. Here you'll find the menu with a list of features which you'll need to either enable or disable, depending on your events requirements. 

The features which you enable will appear illuminated within the left-hand console sidebar.


 

Features & Networking Options:

Further tailor your event with the following features:

  • Home Tab - enable information tabs on event homepage.
  • Open pages in a new tab when session is active: Prevents attendees from accidentally navigating away from a session that is in-progress.
  • 24 Hour Session Reminder: Send email reminders to attendees 24 hours before a session is set to begin. These are only sent to users who have been added to the attendees tab in a session's settings page or have booked the session themselves. 
  • Custom Domain: Set a custom domain to take the place of https://app.canapii.com/ in your event's URL. This option is only available on certain upgraded plans.
  • Badges: This allows users to create and print attendee badges onsite.
  • Sponsor Admin:  Give your sponsors the power to build out, update, and manage their own sponsor zones via a dedicated sponsor portal. Only available on certain upgraded plans.
  • On-site Registration: this allows the admin to register attendees on-site during the event.
  • Hotels: this allows admin to manage and create hotel reservations for attendees during the registration.
  • Flights: this allows admin to manage and import flight bookings for attendees during the registration.
  • Campaign: this feature allows admin to send emails and event communication from the canapii console.
  • Canapii Provider: enables Canapii Green Room and Canapi RTMP generation for use in session livestream.
  • Welcome Video: play welcome video once attendees open the platform homepage.
  • App QR Scanner: Enable use of QR scanner in the mobile app
  • On-site welcome email: Enable automated email when users check-in online.
  • Note taking: allows to enable and disable the note taking section within a session viewing page.
  • Favorites: enables or disables favorites on Attendee, Speaker, and Sponsor pages.
  • Self-Check-in: Enable pop-up notifications when user joins a meeting, session or an event.
  • Meetings: Allow receiving self-checkin notification within the meeting.
  • Session: Allow receiving self-checkin notification within the session
  • Event:  receiving self-checkin notification within the event
  • Home agenda: Build a standalone agenda that will live beneath any primary or secondary banners on the homepage.
  • Highlight Banner Carousel - input the duration on how long the highlight banner should change.
  • Secondary Banner Carousel - input the duration on how long the secondary banner should change.
