How do I manage speakers on Canapii?

Direct answer: Speaker profiles on Canapii are created and managed from the Speakers section of the Event Console. Each profile can include a photo, bio, company URL and social links. Speakers are assigned to sessions from within the session settings. Speaker profiles appear on the dedicated speakers page in the event platform. Speakers must also register as attendees to access the platform.

Time to complete: 5 minutes per speaker profile

Navigate to the Speakers section in the Event Console sidebar. Select Create and enter the speaker’s details. Add a profile photo, bio, company name and any social media links. Set the speaker’s status to active for them to appear on the speakers page.

To assign a speaker to a session, navigate to the specific session and scroll to the Speakers tab. Select the speaker from your existing profiles.

Sorting speakers: Use types to categorise and organise speakers (for example, keynote, panellist, moderator). Use the Sort mode button to arrange profiles in your preferred order on the speakers page.

Important: The speakers section showcases your speaker lineup but does not register speakers for the event. Speakers still need to complete the standard registration process to access the platform on the day.

How do I set someone as a session admin or moderator on Canapii?

Navigate to the Sessions section, select Settings and add the person’s details under the Session admins tab. Session admins have additional moderating capabilities including access to the admin-only chat and the ability to manage Q&A.
